About Proposal in Italy®
Our Story, Approach and Expertise
Who We Are
Proposal in Italy® was created with one purpose: to help couples turn one of the most important moments of their relationship into an experience that feels personal, natural and unforgettable.
Our work goes far beyond choosing a beautiful setting. Every proposal involves a combination of timing, location, logistics, photography, suppliers and, above all, discretion. Our role is to bring those elements together so that, from your partner’s perspective, everything feels effortless.
From Lake Como and Venice to Tuscany, Rome, Positano and the Amalfi Coast, we work across some of Italy’s most extraordinary destinations, creating experiences around the couple rather than applying the same concept to every proposal.
Some clients imagine something understated: a private setting, the right light and a photographer discreetly waiting for the moment. Others want a more elaborate experience involving a private villa, flowers, musicians, a boat, dinner or a complete day planned around the proposal.
In both cases, the principle remains the same: the experience should reflect the people at the centre of it.
Our Approach
Many of our clients begin planning while they are still abroad.
They may know they want to propose in Italy but not know which location is right, which suppliers to trust, how long transfers will take or how to coordinate a photographer without revealing the surprise.
This is where our local experience becomes particularly valuable.
We coordinate the different elements of the proposal behind the scenes and provide the client with clear practical guidance before the day. This allows them to travel with their partner normally, without having to manage suppliers or logistics during the experience.
We pay particular attention to what the proposal will feel like from the partner’s point of view. A carefully designed surprise should never feel like an event being managed around them.
As Seen In
Our work has been featured by wedding, lifestyle and international media, including The Knot, Lebanese Wedding, Debate.mx and Rock n’ Roll Bride.
For us, editorial recognition is valuable not simply because of visibility, but because it reflects the stories and experiences created for the couples who have trusted Proposal in Italy® with such an important moment.
Our work continues to be shaped by the same priorities behind every proposal: discretion, attention to detail, strong local coordination and an experience that feels personal to the couple.
Celebrity & High-Profile Clients
Proposal in Italy® has also been trusted by clients from the worlds of music, sport, fashion and social media.
Past clients include global DJ Alesso, social media influencer Erin Michellexo, Miss Lebanon Sandy Tabet, Mexican footballer Marco Fabián and model Alexa Mendez.
Working with high-profile clients has reinforced something that applies equally to every couple we work with: privacy, timing and discretion are fundamental parts of the experience.
Whether the proposal is highly elaborate or completely intimate, our objective is not to make the planning visible. It is to make the final moment feel seamless.
What Sets Proposal in Italy® Apart
Local Knowledge
Italy offers an extraordinary variety of settings, but choosing a location from photographs alone can be misleading.
The most famous viewpoint is not always the most private. A spectacular villa may have restrictions on music or decorations. A beautiful terrace may require exclusivity. A boat experience can depend heavily on departure point, timing and weather.
Our role is to understand these practical details before they become problems for the client.
One Point of Coordination
A proposal can involve several independent suppliers: photographers, videographers, florists, musicians, boats, drivers, venues and restaurants.
Rather than asking the client to coordinate each service separately, Proposal in Italy® brings the different elements together around one plan and one timeline.
The Surprise Comes First
A visually impressive setup means very little if the surprise has already been compromised.
We consider arrival routes, timing, supplier positioning, photography and the explanation the client will give their partner before the proposal.
The objective is for everything to make sense naturally until the moment they realise what is actually happening.
Bespoke Rather Than Standardised
No two trips are identical, and no two proposals need to be either.
Where you are staying, the season, your budget, your partner’s personality and the way you imagine the moment all influence what we recommend.
Sometimes the strongest proposal is deliberately simple. In other situations, a private venue, floral design, live music, photography, video and a celebration afterwards can all become part of the experience.
The level of production changes. The attention to detail does not.
The Beginning of the Next Chapter
A proposal lasts only a few minutes, but it becomes part of a couple’s story forever.
Our job is to make sure that when those few minutes arrive, you are not thinking about schedules, suppliers or logistics.
You are simply there with the person you love.
