The cover story was simple: Raul had a work appointment in Rome, and she believed they were simply making their way there together.
That allowed Raul and Cris to walk naturally across Ponte Sant’Angelo while the entire experience was already in position around them.
From Cris’ point of view, nothing unusual was happening.
A Walk Through Raul and Cris’ Story
Then came the first unexpected moment.
One of the young people positioned along the bridge approached Cris and handed her a photograph.
It was not a random image. It was a photograph from her life with Raul.
As they continued walking, another person appeared with another photograph. Then another.
Little by little, the ordinary walk across Ponte Sant’Angelo began to change.
Each photograph represented another piece of their relationship, transforming the route across the bridge into a visual journey through the story Raul and Cris had already shared.
The people handing Cris the photographs initially appeared to be ordinary passers-by.
They were actually part of the surprise.
When the Flash Mob Begins
By this point, Cris knew that something unusual was happening, but she still did not know where Raul’s surprise was leading.
Then the people who had appeared one by one along the bridge came together.
They were dancers.
With Castel Sant’Angelo providing the backdrop, the series of small personal gestures suddenly became a choreographed flash mob.
The transition was an essential part of the concept.
The dance was not simply a performance appearing out of nowhere. The photographs had already created the emotional build-up, so the flash mob became the culmination of Raul and Cris’ own story.

The choreography led Raul and Cris towards the final point of the experience.
Surrounded by the dancers and with Castel Sant’Angelo behind them, Raul stepped forward.
Then he got down on one knee.
The work appointment Cris thought they were heading towards had never existed.
The photographs, the people they had met along the bridge and the entire performance had all been leading to this moment.
Cris said yes.
